The Abraham Lincoln Presinential Library and Museum Observations & The War On Terror . . .That's the subject of this Big B File.
On July 31st, a number of Parishioners, our pastor, and I went on a parish bus trip to the new Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, IL. We went through a number of exhibits including one on the presidency of Abraham Lincoln. In the the exhibit (After viewing a Dress made for Mary Todd Lincoln), was a section of political cartoons about Abraham Lincoln's Presidency and his decision to fight the Civil War in an effort to reunite the country after the Southern States Had seceded from the Union over the issue of slavery. there are a number of Similar comparisons that were made between Lincoln and The Civil War and George W. Bush and the War on Terror (Portion in Iraq). Let me address the Comparisons between the Criticism of the Lincoln and Bush (43) Presidencies first and then address the War comparisons. That's the Big B File. Click on "Comment" link below and tell me what you think…I'm Bryan Hewing. |
