An endorsement in the 2020 U.S. Senate Race from Illinois

An endorsement in the 2020 race for U.S. Senate from Illinois is the subject of this Big B File.

In the past, the Big B Files has not officially endorsed anyone for elective office with rare exceptions … and this and this endorsement that I’m about to make is one of those rare exceptions. One of the rare exceptions in this case is in the race for United States Senate in Illinois, where the citizens of Illinois will decide whether to keep Dick Durbin as their U.S. Senator or give him the boot just like the Voters of Missouri (myself included) did just a few months ago in November 2018. Durbin is currently being challenged by fellow Democrat Anne Michele Stava-Murray and Republican Peggy Hubbard.

With all that said, I can announce that the Big B Files is officially endorsing Ms. Peggy Hubbard in the race for United States Senate in Illinois and looks forward to seeing her as the next race for United States Senator from Illinois. (Click here to see a picture of Peggy Hubbard)

A little background on Peggy.  Born in a St. Louis ghetto in 1964, the sixth of eight siblings, Peggy watched her mother suffer abuse at the hands of her father until she was 6 years old, when he abandoned the family.  Peggy and her siblings were raised by her single mother with the help of her maternal grandparents, devout Catholics who made family values the centerpiece of her youth.

Peggy attended St. Louis public schools and took an early interest in history and social studies. She graduated from Soldan High School in 1983 where she excelled in sports and student government and went on to attend Forest Park Community College. In 1984, Peggy enlisted in the United States Navy and went on to serve on board various ships including USS Samuel Gompers AD 37, USS Yosemite AD 19, Naval Air Station (NAS) Alameda, NAS Vallejo, NAS Mare Island and in the Navy Reserve.

In 1991, Peggy met Officer Charles Hubbard of the Saint Louis Police Department and in 1994 they were married, forming a combined family with six children, including four children from her husband’s previous marriage. Peggy went to work as a Court Officer for the Saint Louis County Police Department and later was hired to by the Internal Revenue Service where she worked for 15 years, where she witnessed firsthand the inefficiency, waste, fraud and abuse that infests massive government bureaucracies.

While still working at the IRS, Peggy and Charles were putting their children through college, Peggy felt a calling to serve her community once more and became a police officer serving in Southern Illinois’ poorest communities from 2003 until 2007.

Peggy burst out on the national scene in 2015 when she posted a video online blasting the rioting mob, including members of Black Lives Matter and Antifa for vandalizing, looting and destruction of property in St. Louis in response to the shooting death, by police officer, of a violent criminal who had taken the innocent life of Jamila Bolden.  Needless to say, the video went totally viral and made her an internet sensation thrusting her into the national media spotlight and making her the target of left-wing radicals. In 2016, Peggy’s husband was forced to retire after being shot twice in the line of duty by a Black Lives Matters activist who is now serving 27 years in prison.

Unlike the Republicans who are in the Illinois General Assembly or in Congress or run the state GOP who have not really the will to fight the left and are letting them control the narrative instead of fighting back against the radical left, Peggy Hubbard has been fighting for the people like us for the past few years at least as a conservative citizen just like President Trump has been doing the past few three years as president.

I don’t know about you, but my impression has been that, for at least the past decade (if not longer), the Republican party in Illinois at least at the state level has for all intents and purposes been nonexistent and/or been very unwilling to fight for the state and our values like they should be doing…..just look at California and New York and see how screwed up things are there as well.

If you have any thoughts that Peggy Hubbard is part of the Establishment Republicans or a RINO (Republican In Name Only), think again….she is definitely far from it!  She is very conservative, Pro-life, Catholic, Pro Armed Forces, pro law enforcement, and does not shy away from it and is instead very proud of all of it.  In fact, she is a straight shooter and she is not afraid to let you know what she thinks….just check out her Facebook page (one of a few) called Straight Talk with Peggy Hubbard.  BTW….she is definitely one person who does not mince words whatsoever.
