Review & Reflections of the movie Gosnell: The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer

A Review & Reflections of the movie Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer is the subject of this Big B File.

This past Tuesday evening, I went to the Marcus Ronnie’s 20 Cine & IMAX theater in south St. Louis County to see the much talked about (not in the Ancient Media) movie Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial KillerThe movie is about the investigation and trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, whose trial was pretty much ignored by the Mainstream Media (MSM) (Please note: the linked story contains graphic descriptions and imagery), who was convicted of murdering three babies born alive in an abortion clinic and was acquitted in the fourth baby's death, and found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the overdose death of an adult patient according to Fox News.  According to The Daily Signal, he also was convicted of 21 felony counts of illegal late-term abortion, and 211 counts of violating an informed consent law.

As the official synopsis of the movie states:

The film is the shocking true story of the investigation and trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell - his 30 year killing spree and the political and media establishment that tried to cover it up. Originally investigated for illegal prescription drug sales, a raid by DEA, FBI & local law enforcement revealed crimes they could not have expected within the clinic. The movie is based on the NY Times Bestseller — Gosnell: The Untold Story of America’s Most Prolific Serial Killer, which chronicles the investigation and trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, the most infamous Abortionist in the United States to date.

As I said, I went to the Marcus Ronnie’s 20 Cine & IMAX theater in south St. Louis County this past Tuesday evening to the much talked about (not in the Ancient Media) movie Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer.

As the movie begins, Detective James “Woody” Wood, played by Dean Cain, execute a search warrant and conducts a search in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) on an abortion clinic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania operated by Dr. Kermit Gosnell as part of an investigation into a ring conducting illegal prescription drug sales, using prescription pads belonging to Dr. Kermit Gosnell.

During the search, detective Woody stumbles across bag after bag of aborted fetuses… Including five babies that have been born alive and were killed after they were born… and a shelf full of small jars that contain the feet of unborn babies who had been aborted, rodent infestation, among other things. Dr. Gosnell would be later quoted as saying he kept the feet of the unborn babies for DNA samples.

Detective Wood then shows the video of what was found at the raid of Dr. Gosnell’s abortion clinic to assistant Philadelphia district attorney Alexis “Lexy” McGuire (played by Sarah Jane Morris) who then joins the investigation into Dr. Kermit Gosnell, eventually brings case to a grand jury, securing an indictment of Dr. Gosnell and brings the case to trial.

Before the grand jury is impaneled, the judge informs Woody and Lexy that they cannot mention abortion at all because of the political correctness surrounding the issue. Despite the order from the judge, the indictment against the doctor is secured on a number of charges in relation to the case.

When they finally get to the trial, the defense attorney at first tries to go the anti-Catholic route by saying that the only reason they were investigating and prosecuting Dr. Gosnell was because they were Roman Catholic and that is what was their main motivation in prosecuting Dr. Gosnell.

During the first part of the trial, the only thing close to the mainstream media… To which I refer to often as the ancient media… was one blogger by the name of Molly Mullaney, who was played by Cyrina Fiallo. At one point in the trial, Molly Mullaney snapped a picture of the area of the court room reserved for the media to show nothing but empty seats. Molly Mullaney then uploaded picture on the social media and after the ensuing  firestorm, more members of the ancient media finally decided to show up and cover the trial the next day.

Later in the one of the abortion clinic workers who had witnessed Baby Boy A having been born alive and then observing Dr. Gosnell taking scissors to spinal cord in order to kill the baby had taken a picture of said baby before it died. You can click here if you would like to view the picture of Baby Boy A that was used in the trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell (WARNING: the graphic nature of this photo is not reflective of the content of the motion picture and is not suitable for children under 13).

When the picture was shown to the jury end people symbols in the courtroom, and brought many of them to tears… Especially the members of the jury.

In the end, the jury ends up convicting Dr. Kermit Gosnell on the charges mentioned earlier except for three of the charges and two others that the jury was hopelessly hung on. Dr. Kermit Gosnell was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole as per sentencing agreement with the District Attorney’s office.

Anyone who watches this movie will come to see why it was feared so much by Planned Parenthood and even some in the mainstream media, public officials, and including people in Hollywood… more so than any prolife films before it like Bella and Juno from 2006. If you want a feel-good movie or movie to give a thunderous applause about… this is not it. If you want a movie that will have an impact unlike any other prolife film before it, this is definitely the movie to go see.

While I was at the Marcus Ronnie’s 20 Cine & IMAX theater, I asked an employee there about how well the movie been doing and I was told that it has been selling out most of the showings that the theater had scheduled for the movie.

The Big B Files strongly recommends for anyone ages 13 and older to go and see the movie Gosnell: The Trial of America's Biggest Serial Killer at a theater near you. Click here to get a list of theaters that are showing this movie.
