Radio Control Board Operator, Show Host and Producer | 02/2004 - 09/2006
Hit Mix 88.9 WEIU-FM | Charleston, IL
Operated the Control Board in the main studio during Broadcasts of EIU and Charleston High School athletic contests that Hit Mix 88.9 WEIU broadcasts when students were not available. Also spoke or read from scripted materials, such as news reports or commercial messages on radio. Played and queued music, announce artist or title of performance, identify station, or interview guests. Assisted in making the station highly competitive with all the other commercial radio stations in East Central Illinois.

Set up, controlled and monitored television broadcasting equipment to transmit television programs and commercials to the viewing audience. Duties included on-air switching, dubbing and transferring programs, and gathering satellite feeds for broadcast use

The community director (CD) is appointed by the grand knight and reports to the program director. Responsible for all community-based council programs. He directs programs that support and encourage service to the community that fight poverty, aid the individual, promote athletic events, and sponsor larger programs and campaigns. He should be comfortable contacting and coordinating with organizations that align in key areas of community assistance.

The Deputy Grand Knight (DGK) of the Incarnate Word Knights of Columbus Council #9981 serves as the Grand Knight's right-hand man and fills in for the Grand Knight when he is not present. The DGK) also serves as the IWKnights' Program Director.  Ultimately, he assists the Grand Knight in leading the council and reaching council objectives and may serve as a liaison between the council and other groups that share similar interest (i.e. Newman Club, pro-life club, etc.).
